Jennifer Pagliaro is a city hall reporter at the Toronto Star, where she has worked since 2011. As a crime reporter, she was part of the team that covered the police investigation into former mayor Rob Ford in 2013. She then followed Mayor John Tory's successful 2014 election campaign. At city hall, she has investigated controversial plans to build a billions-dollar subway extension in Scarborough, documented life inside crumbling public housing and writes frequently about contested development in an increasingly vertical city.
