David Summers is the editorial director for JPIMedia with overall responsibiltiy for more than 30 newspapers in the Central region and is editor of the Northampton Chronicle & Echo, the Northamptonshire Telegraph and the Daventry Express. A career working on newspapers at home and abroad, David first joined the Buckingham Advertiser in 1989 as a trainee reporter before working on The West Australian in Perth. His first editorship was of the Somerset Standard and Guardian in 1998, followed by The Bucks Herald and the Northampton Chronicle & Echo, which he joined in 2008.
