Samantha Agate is a full-time associate editor for Closer, focusing on current celebrity news as well as classic film stars. Prior to joining the team in October 2021, Samantha worked as a video host and reporter for Talent Recap, where she interviewed celebrities and stars of reality competition shows. Her previous work includes freelance writing for The Blast and a stint as a freelance screenplay editor for the Big Apple Film Festival. Samantha graduated with a bachelor’s degree in media and journalism from Hunter College in 2019 and is based in New York City. During her time at the school, she attended the 2017 Met Gala as a reporter for the social media platform CoverItLive.
