👋🏽Hey there! My name is Mohammed Rayaan and I am a journalist based in Chennai, India. I currently work as a Sub-Editor for The Hindu BusinessLine. ✍🏽I have worked as features writer for DT Next, an English daily newspaper owned by the Dina Thanthi Group of Publications. Previously, I was with News Today, an English evening daily. I have written for Talk Media, a weekly newspaper. My byline has appeared on 30 Stades, Live Wire and The Opinioc. 💪🏽In the last four years, I have developed effective reporting skills and have written on a variety of beats including human-interest features. 🧠I have also worked with startups and entrepreneurs to create content for their businesses or develop their personal brands. I am passionate about journalism, creating sustainable newsrooms, community building, start-ups and the creator economy. 🏆In March 2022, I won a full $4,000 scholarship from Meta (Facebook) Journalism Project to pursue the 100-days online Entrepreneurial Journalism Creators Program at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism (City University of New York).
